Hello there!

I'm Darlene. I've been on a mission over the past few years to build a faith filled community of women - locally and virtually. I've been learning to lean into God's plans for my life and am feeling a nudge that I just can't ignore. Have you ever been there?

You'll learn so much about me through things shared here but here's a little bit of info...

I'm 51. I've been married to my husband, Ian, for the past 10 years. We have a beautifully blended family with 6 kids, their significant others, 9 grandkids and a dog named Taco.

My Story

I was raised in the church, knowing of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible but life has thrown some pretty good punches my way... it's hasn't been pretty. I've walked in the wilderness more times than I would care to admit and it's been messy.

BUT, God has a way of using those things for good. For the past 10ish years I've really been leaning more into His plans for me. Establishing a personal relationship with Jesus, being fueled by the Word and allowing my plans to fade and God's to be prominent. It's been a journey and I've learned a lot. I'm still learning. My eyes are open, my heart is filled and I see a need around us. To connect in our mess. To come together as women of faith and share our stories. Being honest and vulnerable. God promises to use it all for good. So often we try to hide the scars of life. We don't share the hard because we are afraid it's too much, we carry shame for where we have been and what we've been through. It's easier... but it's so lonely. 

I'm learning that my scars, my pain, my shame, when I share it, not only is healing but it helps others share in their own which is healing for them as well. It's time to let God use what we have been through to connect with others who are in the darkness right now and be His light to them. I look forward to learning about you, where you're been and how God is using that to shine His love!
